Jobs in the spotlight at Summer Showcase

10 July 2023

On Friday 30 June, employers from across Liverpool took over FireFit Youth & Community Hub for Torus Foundation’s Employment and Skills Summer Showcase.

Bringing together 26+ organisations offering job vacancies, skills and training opportunities and support to help people get into work, the Summer Showcase attracted people from across the region looking to gain employment or further their career.

Organisations in attendance including Merseyside Police, Home Instead, The Learning Foundry and Hugh Baird College met with people across the region looking for a move into work or training.

Dan Bamford, Employment and Skills Manager, Torus Foundation said “We’ve seen how the cost of living crisis is having a huge impact on the people we serve, so recruitment days like this, where we are able to put job seekers in direct contact with companies that are hiring and providers who can support with training, can make a huge difference.”

Torus Foundation’s Employment and Skills team are dedicated to helping Torus customers to find meaningful work, improve their opportunities and reach their full potential through bespoke 1-2-1 support with all things relating to job search, including CV creation, mentoring, funding for uniforms and transport and training.

If you are currently looking for work, or require training and support to further your career, you can contact the Torus Foundation Employment and Skills team by emailing employment@torusfoundation.org.uk by calling 0300 123 5809 (option 2 for Torus Foundation), or registering for our Talent Pool.
