The Noise App

Updated: 12 February 2026

Noise nuisance can be stressful and even upsetting. If you have reported noise-related anti-social behaviour (ASB) to us, you will have to provide evidence to support your claims.

To help support your noise nuisance claims, we may ask you to download 'The Noise App'. The Noise App allows you to record audio for up to 60 seconds at a time and send it to your investigating officer in real time.

Using The Noise App on your Smartphone, you can also send the person investigating your anti-social behaviour case:

  • photos,
  • videos,
  • and details of the nuisance.

Please note: You need to be invited to The Noise App by your investigating officer. You will only get an investigating officer once you have raised an ASB complaint. Without being invited, Torus will not show on The Noise App.

Reporting anti-social Behaviour (ASB) & noise nuisance

If you need to report an instance of anti-social behaviour (ASB), it's important that you provide us with as much information as possible. Recording evidence helps us to prove that there has been a breach of the tenancy agreement or a general disturbance to the community.

We treat each case on its merits, and the officer assigned to your case will discuss an action plan to resolve matters.
