That’s why we are supporting Merseyside Police to address the under-reporting of hate crimes and encourage our tenants and customers to report any incidents.

In response to recent disorders in Southport and Liverpool, Merseyside Police’s Community Engagement and Local Policing and Investigation Teams are working closely with community leaders, local authorities, businesses, and residents to ensure a comprehensive approach. This includes responding to information, correcting misinformation, and supporting targeted individuals.

Merseyside Police has dedicated Hate Crime Co-ordinators leading teams of specially trained officers who monitor, assess, and investigate hate crimes. These teams ensure victims are supported throughout the process and ensure offenders are put before the courts.
