Torus colleagues celebrated at the Torus Apprenticeship Awards

10 February 2026

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, colleagues from across the Torus Group were celebrated at the Torus Apprenticeship Awards.

Held at the Marriott Hotel in Liverpool, the Torus Apprenticeship Awards celebrate colleagues across the Torus Group – including Torus, HMS, Torus Foundation, and Torus Developments – who are completing apprenticeships, their managers, and their mentors.

Those shortlisted, who were nominated by their colleagues and colleges, highlight the great work being done by apprentices, and the people supporting them. It also shines a spotlight on the beneficial role they can play for people, furthering their careers.

Torus takes an apprenticeship first approach to recruitment wherever it’s appropriate, recognising apprenticeships as a powerful way to build capability, strengthen the talent pipeline, and support long term workforce sustainability. By prioritising apprenticeships for suitable roles, Torus is able to bring new talent into the organisation, develop skills in a structured and meaningful way, and create clear pathways into high quality careers that benefit both the Torus Group and the communities it serves.

Debbie Attwood, Group People Director, commented:

“Across the Group, we’re privileged to have over 100 apprentices, alongside more than 140 colleagues who are undertaking further education through apprenticeships. Their energy, curiosity, and commitment bring fresh ideas into our organisation and strengthen the communities we’re part of. The impact they make reaches far beyond their day-to-day roles. Being able to celebrate those completing their apprenticeships is not only an honour, it’s a reminder of the bright future we’re building together.”
