Landlord Operations Committee

Tenant volunteers work alongside Board on our Landlord Operations Committee (LOC) to improve services and performance.

LOC (Landlord Operations Committee) is a committee of tenants, leaseholders, board members and independent members such as local councillors.

LOC meets with the Torus Board to challenge and improve service standards, performance and policy development.

As a LOC member, you will help direct the work of our tenant panels, tenant inspectors and mystery shoppers to review services and suggest improvements.

As a member of LOC, you will:

  • review reports and performance information to identify areas of concern
  • be confident in challenging people at all levels, from Board members and Chief Officers through to your fellow members
  • agree to disagree amicably and get behind majority decisions
  • need to put aside personal issues and focus on representing the wider tenant group

If you have these skills, we want to hear from you.

LOC meets on a quarterly basis. All meetings are face-to-face and take place in the evening.

We will also ask you to take part in training and information sessions throughout the year.

To help you in your role, we will:

  • Pay your transport costs
  • Provide you with a laptop and / or tablet to access your LOC papers
  • Offer training, where needed
  • Provide support and mentorship through the Tenant Voice and Governance Teams as you grow in your new role

If you are interested in joining, please contact us at Tenant.Voice@torus.co.uk for more information.
