Torus Group Christmas Campaign 2025 continues to support older customers
18 December 2025
Each year, the Torus Christmas Campaign brings together partners and colleagues to support older tenants who may otherwise receive nothing during the festive season.
Thanks to the generosity shown this year, the 2025 campaign raised an exceptional £12,537, surpassing the original £8,000 target and ensuring hundreds of isolated older tenants will receive a thoughtful, hand-delivered gift. This campaign delivers a small but meaningful gesture at a time of year that can be particularly lonely.
658 older tenants, who may be isolated and vulnerable, were able to receive a gift this Christmas thanks to nominations from frontline colleagues across the Torus Group.
Colleagues known to the tenant hand-delivered all the gifts along with information about support services, including Chief Operating Officer, Cath Murray-Howard:
"Year after year, I'm always impressed with the lengths local businesses and our colleagues will go to bring a bit of Christmas magic to our tenants, some of whom may be spending the festive season alone.
"It is one of my great joys to be able to help deliver presents to our tenants, made possible thanks to donations from local businesses. With this being our most successful Torus Group Christmas Campaign yet, we've been able to support more customers than ever before."
Here is just one quote from a happy customer:
"I was just about to give up completely and retreat to bed for Christmas, and then a lovely gentleman from Torus came to my door with a bag of things to keep warm, wishing me a Happy Christmas. I thought that was so amazing and kindled some hope. Thank you all for your support, have a lovely Christmas!"
Celebrating our headline sponsor: Caddick Construction
With Caddick Construction stepping forward as this year's Headline Sponsor and making a generous donation of £5,000, the campaign reached the full target. Caddick's commitment demonstrates how these partnerships can deliver meaningful social value and create real, positive impact for older people across the communities they help build.
Michelle Swarbrick, Social Values Manager at Caddick Construction, said:
"Caddick North West is delighted to be the Headline Sponsor for the Torus Christmas Campaign. This is such a great campaign helping to make a difference to hundreds of isolated older people this Christmas. On 4 December 2025, some of our Caddick team attended to assist with wrapping presents as part of the campaign. An amazing event for a great cause."
We are also grateful to Pilkington Charities Fund for their contribution to support older people in Liverpool and St Helens, made possible by Community Foundation for Merseyside, which also strengthened this year's campaign.
James Proctor, Programmes Director for Community Foundations for Lancashire and Merseyside, said:
"The Community Foundation for Merseyside and Pilkington Charities Fund are extremely pleased to be able to support Torus Foundation's Christmas Campaign. This is a wonderful project, established for a number of years, that brings comfort to vulnerable and often isolated tenants. The gift packs not only bring some Christmas joy but also allow residents to find out about other support available for them to benefit longer-term wellbeing and inclusion."
