Torus Group supports Africa Oyé’s weekend of music and culture

15 June 2023

Torus Group is proud to be one of the sponsors for this year’s Africa Oyé Festival, taking place in Liverpool’s Sefton Park on 17 and 18 June. As the festival brings together a vibrant mix of music and culture, Torus is excited to contribute to this dynamic event.

While enjoying the free performances, keep an eye out for Torus representatives who will be actively raising awareness about the support and opportunities available to Torus customers and the wider community.

The festival promises to be a memorable experience for the entire family. Bring your picnic baskets, outdoor chairs or blankets, and immerse yourself in the incredible atmosphere. In addition to enjoying the line-up, festival goers will have the opportunity to join in with workshops organised by community groups, a family-friendly funfair, and our colleagues from FireFit will be onsite engaging children and young people with exciting activities to help get them moving!

While you can bring your own refreshments, a wide range of stalls will also be available over the weekend providing a variety of choices.

Cath Murray-Howard, Chief Operating Officer Torus Group comments,

“This is a fantastic chance for Torus Group to join forces with other key partners and local groups at such a significant event. The festival location is surrounded by many of our Torus homes, so by being part of the event our teams are able to extend our support and provide opportunities to even more Torus customers and wider neighbourhood members, contributing to our aim of growing stronger communities. A great example of community cohesion!”

Torus Group members will be at Sefton Park from 12pm on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June. Official times for the event are 12pm – 9pm, with many people typically arriving around 2pm, so be sure to secure your picnic spot and come prepared for whatever the weather has instore!
