Torus Strengthens Leadership Team with Two New Appointments

14 February 2022

North West growth and regeneration group Torus is delighted to unveil two new additions to its leadership team, with Paul Warburton who has joined as Group Housing Director and Margaret Goddard becoming Group Assets Director.

Both roles play an integral part in delivering Torus’ mission of ‘growing stronger communities’ and underpin the group’s core commitments to excellent, responsive customer services and to safer, greener and more efficient affordable homes.

Paul comes with a wealth of housing knowledge, having spent 17 years operating at a senior level within Your Housing Group and the last two years in a consultancy capacity at David Tolson Partnership (DTP).

He took up the role in January 2022 and is building on the work delivered by Interim Housing Director, Clare King.

Margaret was already a key part of the Torus team, having worked for the last two years as Group Head of Asset Delivery. Prior to joining Torus, she held a number of high-level positions including Executive Director for Assets at Contour Homes (now Onward Homes).

She assumed the Group Assets Director role in November 2022.

Discussing the appointments, Chief Operating Officer at Torus Catherine Murray-Howard said:

“I am really looking forward to welcoming both Margaret and Paul to the leadership team and seeing their passion and experience to drive our operational and strategic goals forward.

“These key roles will shape how we support our tenants at home, how we empower customers and respond to their views, how we create homes for the future and how we influence the housing sector to be a real catalyst for change – not just in the services we provide to our customers, but also how we work to become more sustainable and reduce our impact on the environments we operate in.”

Discussing her new role, Margaret, said:

“Torus is a great organisation to work for and I feel very privileged to have been offered this role. My priority is to ensure that as a landlord we provide high-quality, well-maintained homes and landlord services by putting customers at the heart of everything we do.”

Paul added:

“I am really excited to be joining Torus and can’t wait to start working with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure we continue to provide high quality customer centric front line housing management services.

“My priority is to ensure that the voice of the customer shapes all of our service offers for the benefit of the customers and communities we serve.”
