Thanks for living in one of our homes, we’ll be sorry to see you go. There are few things you need to do before you leave.
If you wish to provide notice that you intend to end your Torus tenancy please follow the following guidance and instructions - you can do it over the phone or by visiting your nearest Torus office:
PLEASE NOTE BY PROVIDING YOUR NOTICE THIS IS NOT ENDING YOUR TENANCY. YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE THE TENANCY END FORM.
WE WILL DO THIS WITH YOU IN PERSON WHEN YOU COME TO THE OFFICE TO HAND IN YOUR KEYS.
If you have any problems or questions please contact us on:
Your Housing Officer will make contact with you within 48-hours to make arrangements to visit you to inspect your home and discuss the reasons for leaving. If we find damage to your home when we inspect it, you will be charged for any repairs.
If you have already given notice please call into your nearest Torus office to complete a Tenancy End Form. This form will be completed with a member of the customer service team at reception.
If the reason for ending a tenancy is sadly due to a death please note the death certificate is required before we can end the tenancy.
If you have any problems or questions please contact us on:
Please be aware that until a Tenancy End form is completed and returned you will be held responsible for the rent and security of the property.
If your needs have changed or if you want to move to a different area, we may be able to help.
Please note all Torus tenancies end on a Sunday and keys are expected the day after the notice period ends. If you fail to attend a Torus office with your tenancy end form and keys on the date that you have agreed your tenancy will not end and will continue. If you wish to extend your notice period please contact Torus via the contact centre or visit one of our offices. You will be charged rent during your notice period until you formally end the tenancy.
